Cookie Policy

Effective June 28, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how The Effortless Home, LLC ("The Effortless Home," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage and session storage) when you use our online hub and website (the "Service"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

  • Essential cookies keep you signed in and secure — these can't be turned off.
  • Optional analytics cookies help us improve the hub — you choose whether to allow them.
  • We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • You control your choice from our cookie banner, and can change it any time (see Section 5).

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use related browser technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage that work similarly to store small amounts of information in your browser. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this policy.

2. Your choices & our cookie banner

The first time you visit, we show a cookie banner with two choices:

  • Accept all — allows essential cookies plus optional analytics.
  • Essential only — allows only the cookies strictly necessary to run the hub.

We remember your choice in your browser's local storage (under the key elh-cookie-consent-v1) so we don't ask again on every visit. We do not set optional analytics cookies until you choose "Accept all." You can change or withdraw your choice at any time (see Section 5).

3. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

Required to operate the hub. You cannot opt out of these without losing core functionality such as signing in.

  • Authentication session (Supabase Auth) — keeps you signed in securely across pages and tabs.
  • Security tokens — protect requests against forgery and abuse.
  • Routing & UI state — remember your sidebar, dialogs, and in-progress form state during a session.
  • Consent preference — stores your cookie banner choice so we don't ask repeatedly.
  • Stripe — sets cookies during checkout to prevent fraud and process payments securely.
  • Cloudflare — sets cookies to secure and load-balance our hosting layer.

Functional (essential to features you use)

  • Preferences such as theme, device/viewport, and notification dismissals.
  • For staff: recently viewed clients or visits, for convenience.

Analytics (optional — only with "Accept all")

We use minimal first-party analytics to understand hub usage (for example, page views and feature usage). This information is aggregated and used only to improve the Service. We do not use advertising, re-targeting, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell any information collected through cookies.

4. Third-party cookies

The following providers may set cookies through the Service:

  • Supabase — authentication and session management.
  • Stripe — payment fraud prevention and checkout.
  • Cloudflare — security and performance for our hosting layer.
  • Google — only if you sign in with Google or connect Google Calendar.

These providers process data under their own privacy and cookie policies. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of service providers we use.

5. Managing and changing your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (which removes the saved elh-cookie-consent-v1 preference and brings the banner back), or by using your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings menu. Please note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using the hub.

6. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

We honor "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signals where required by law. We do not respond to legacy browser "Do Not Track" headers, as there is no common industry standard for them.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves or as laws change. We will update the effective date above when we do, and where appropriate provide additional notice in the hub.
